Michelle Emerson
About Michelle
I have a passion and flair for training and first aid, as well as delivering for local companies, I also deliver training for multiple training companies, in particular NUCO Training Ltd, where I am one of their Lead Trainers, teaching New Instructors and updating current Instructors.
I have been delivering training for the past 10 years and covering events for the past 3 years.
My background is with the Leisure Industry (over 20 years), managing multiple sites, in particular those struggling, always encompassing some kind of first aid whether it be a football pitch, BMX park, swimming pool or sports hall injuries.
In my spare time I can usually be found in my office working on the next thing to enhance either my training or events, I am extremely driven and strive to ensure that my company provides what is needed and understand that there is no such thing as one size fits all.
I am lucky to not only love what I do but have a great team working with me.

Diane Ahearne
About Diane
“I have loved getting involved in first aid since I was knee high.
My Mum was a nurse and also in the Red Cross and I would go along with her to various events and competitions getting involved.
When I was old enough I joined the St John Cadets and especially enjoyed their annual camps at Holkam Hall in Norfolk.
23 years as a First aider at Royal Mail and 10 years as a First Aid Instructor for the Company. During my time with Royal Mail was also part of a first aid team representing Royal Mail in Open competitions as well as Royal Mail competitions, which boosted my confidence as a first aider immensely.
The last 3 and half years I have been running the different types of first aid courses as a freelance First Aid Instructor, enjoying it immensely.
Also enjoy putting my skills in to practice at various events, as a first aider in the community.”

Sandra Stout
About Sandra
Occupation: First Aid Trainer & NVQ Assessor
Previous Experiences:
I have been a first aider for over 20 years and a First Aid Trainer since 1998.
I have always had an interest in first aid and joined St John’s Ambulance at 13 years old. My Grandma used to be in the Red Cross and her stories is how I became interested. In her day when there was a 999 call she used to be called upon to go in the ambulance too. Her stories inspired me.
I wanted to become a First Aid Trainer as its great to pass on the knowledge and skills to others, it could save a life one day.
Why I cover events:
I use my skills to give first aid cover at a variety of events, music festivals, martial arts, other sporting events and family festivals and fetes. Why do I cover events, it gives me the chance to have hands on experience and to use my skills for real. This is useful when delivering courses too as I can talk from experience.
How I spend my spare time:
My spare time is taken up with sports, I enjoy golf and the challenges this brings.
Ski-ing is my favourite holiday, its great to ski over a fresh dump of snow. I cycle too and have had some brilliant cycling holidays. Table tennis is great and we have our own table tennis table at home and the family like to challenge me when they come over.
Interesting Fact about me:
I am a member of Toastmasters International a worldwide communication and leadership club. Here I like to challenge myself and deliver different kinds of speeches.
Random Fact:
I come from a large family of seven girls which is great as I have six friends too.
